A few things about Jack

So this is a picture of Bentley, but that's Jack's Hot Wheels track. Note that the cars that make the jump end up in the box at the end of the track. Also of note in this picture: Jack's bebe azul lying there on the floor, and the glittery green shamrock that Ellen made in preschool around March 17th.

While the adults were getting serious about coloring eggs, Jack was getting serious about transportation for bebe rojo. Jack himself can fit in the bed of that dump truck.

Jack Jack has a crush on Mary. The whole time she was visiting, he would randomly (and often) ask, "Where's Maywee?" The day after she left, he asked me again as we were riding in the car. Sadly, I had to tell him that she went home. He responded that Maywee can come visit us another day. Yes, my boy, she sure can. The sooner, the better.

We were trying to get a group shot here, but Rose was about at the end of her upper body strength, and Jack wouldn't quit moving around. He also insisted on having his jug as close to him as possible at all times. He is obsessed with jugs, and if he spots an empty milk jug, he tells me I need to clean it out for him so he can have it.

In other Jack news, he has been regularly getting my crock pots and electric skillet out from under the cabinet and playing with them when he thinks I'm not looking. If he finds my skillet on the counter, he pulls up a chair and climbs up, gets a spatula from the drawer and spices from the rack, and starts whipping up something delectable (as only butter, onion powder, and coriander can be). Today he went so far as to get on the counter, open the cupboard above the stove and try to get the popcorn popper out. He managed to get the lid out before special forces swooped in and tackled him.

And on a more tender note, his favorite song these days before napping and going down for the night is "Las ruedas del autobus" a.k.a. "The Wheels on the Bus." But as soon as I sing the verse about the wheels and move on to the babies on the bus, he says, "NO! No bebes en el autobus. Solo papas." No babies on the bus. Only daddies. Then he requests additional verses: "Las ruedas del camion." "Las ruedas del camion rojo. Las ruedas del camion azul. Las ruedas del camion amarillo. Las ruedas del camion anaranjado." You get the picture. This could go on indefinitely.
