Practically Picasso

Of the many, many art projects Ellen has completed in the past couple of years, this is the one that made the cut and moved with us to Nana's house, where it's hanging on the kids' bedroom wall.

Completed in November 2009 just after she received an easel and paints for her birthday, the drawing is an Ellen original. One minute she was painting, and the next minute she stopped and said, "Look, Daddy!"

It's the best family portrait I've ever seen done by a four-year-old.

Thanks, Kaylyn, for helping us clean our apartment two weeks before your baby was due. We got our whole deposit back. Thanks, Jack Jack, for finishing up those gingersnaps. We didn't want to move them with us anyway.
