Changes

This morning as soon as my mom and I got to the hospital to see baby Elijah, the nurse told me that Dr. Mendeloff would be in shortly to take out the three drainage tubes from Elijah's abdomen. Hooray!! Three tubes down.

Here's our awesome surgeon, who has made a life of saving kids' lives and building new hearts for them:

Because he now has less tubes, the nurse also let me change his diaper. I've never been so excited to change my own baby's diaper in my life.

We've also had visitors! Jack's Uncle Wayne and Aunt Darlene stopped by to say hi and see the baby. Their own heart baby, Michael, gets home from his mission this Tuesday.

Three tubes down is a big step...congrats. We are still praying for all of you. What a good reminder of what a blessing it is to have diapers to change. Thanks.

I know that feeling of being thrilled to finally change his diaper. Wait until you get to hold him in your arms and nap with him for the first time, your heart will explode.

Can't get enough of your updates. Thanks for keeping us informed!
