Elijah came through the surgery to close his chest really well. Now we're back to watching how he does for the next 48 hours or so. Hopefully he'll get to try some mama's milk soon because this mama probably has enough milk in the freezer to feed every newborn in the CHS unit. He is doing as expected, and should continue to improve.
If you want to see pictures of his chest before it was closed you can look
here. They are very graphic. Don't let your kids see them.
Thursday afternoon Lorraine was discharged from the hospital right after she lost her staples and gained some narcotics. It's amazing what a little
flower can do for a person.

What a brave, strong little guy you have. Praying that things continue to improve every day. We love you all,
Jenny
Just want to let you know that I'm reading every update, even if I don't comment. Love you!!!!
Thank you for sharing the pictures. It's so good to see you with your baby. I hope you get to hold him soon.
Thinking of you guys and praying for your family. So glad that little Elijah is doing well! What a little fighter. Thanks for the updates! We will keep you all in our prayers.
He is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I think the ones of you leaning over him show pure love.
I fought back some serious tears when I looked at those sweet pictures of Elijah. That breaks my heart so much I had to tell myself I couldn't go wake up Logan just to hold him in my arms and smother him with sloppy kisses. You guys are SO strong and I don't know how you do it. You are great examples to me and you're always in my prayers.
