Elijah is also 4...

Four months, that is. Friday he weighed in at 13 pounds exactly, 24 inches long, and he smiled, laughed, and babbled at the doctor, right up until the nurse came in and gave him his shots. Our pediatrician tells us that he expects Elijah will meet his developmental milestones on schedule.

Oxygen saturation continues to be a concern and sometimes an annoyance, when different pulse ox monitors show different readings. To be on the safe side, his doctor recommended turning on the oxygen at night, no matter what the monitor says. As I write this, Elijah is sleeping like a rock and his monitor is showing a consistent 83% with .5 liters of oxygen.

Mr. E recognizes his name, constantly has his hands in his mouth, smiles, initiates "conversation," loves to sit up in the Bumbo and see what's going on, and is a generally very happy little boy. He is also sleeping through the night, which makes me a very happy mom.

The last time I checked in with your blog, you were pregnant with Elijah, and had decided to move. I prayed for you often over the months. I'm so glad that Elijah is doing so well. I'm tremendously impressed by your deep faith, and only wish I could be closer to you so I could both help, and learn from you. Thanks for your diligent blogging - 4 kids under 5, and you still keep them coming. You are awesome.
