This is what my kids call "camping."
It was their first time ever, and they were elated.
A real fire. No burn bans, no wildfires, cool weather. A real camp fire.
A real fire + marshmallows = camping.
Aunt Jenny introduced the kids to the magical world of s'mores. This was the easiest (and cleanest) camping trip I've ever been on. It's also my kids' equivalent of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. They already know those aren't quite real. How long do you think we can keep the camping secret?

Looks like fun. You might be able to keep camping a secret until the girls are 12 and need to go to YW camp. And with the boys, humm it might be sooner. They should be able to camp as 11 yrs. with the scouting program. Good luck and have fun.
