The alternate title for this post was: How the totally awesome Halloween costume I made for my daughter out of a cardboard box and supplies from the hardware store amazed and delighted all, astounded even myself and won Rose first prize at the church fall festival and trunk or treat.

But then I wouldn't have anything to write in the actual post. Rose was a pink robot for Halloween.

Which turned out to be a lot of work compared to this little get up she threw together with Daddy's socks, Mommy's shirt, and a witch's hat I purchased for a Halloween party I attended.
Ellen was a princess:
Jack was Captain America:
And Elijah was a skeleton, and inexplicably we have no photos of him.
Candy has been abundant at our house since and I have yet to rid us of it. Sigh.

We found the perfect solution to our candy infestation this year . . . Jill's 3rd birthday pinata!!! Balance has been restored to the universe.
