Drug-induced rest, considerably fewer lines and wires than yesterday.
Getting the baby out of the bed and into my arms was quite the feat, considering the number of tubes and wires they still have him connected to.
Elijah's beads of courage from this time around. This is his second string. I say "his", but someone here at the hospital put it together and gave it to me, and I wore it all day yesterday. Now his beads are hanging on his bed. Each bead represents something he's experienced as part of his treatment, like each IV insertion, nights spent in the hospital, heart surgery, and things like that.
